Unboxing App & Ad Campaign

Building on Everlast’s “Be First” campaign that spotlights and amplifies the stories of transgender, disabled, and immigrant boxers, the Unboxing app aims to extend this sentiment beyond the boxing ring and into the everyday. The purpose of this app is to help people unlearn and ‘unbox’ their stereotypes and prejudices. From historical accounts to vast, curated resources this app was created to motivate folks to break boxes, fight injustice, and celebrate the champion in everyone.
When concepting this app and the ad campaign to support it, I really wanted to highlight the amazing Everlast athletes and their stories. To do so, I worked to create a visual story that felt striking, graphic, and motivating. I worked with a simple, bold color palette and repeating square motifs to make images that feel distinct, refined, and powerful.
